# Stamps and Stickies

Ghost’s own comments are off. Instead, readers have two smaller ways to leave a mark.

**Stamps.** A red SEEN stamp under a post, optionally with a name. A stamp is final; a name can be taken back for a day.

**Stickies.** Notes of up to 200 characters, pinned under a post. Visitors pass a spam check and wait for my approval, which reaches me on Telegram or ntfy with Approve and Delete buttons. Signed-in members skip approval. My own carry an Author mark.

Why not comments: spam control without losing warmth. A sticky is short enough that nobody writes an essay at me, and approval means nothing goes up that I wouldn’t stand next to.
